02 / FIELD NOTES
Read these before you fill the gear bag.
For Cal Ripken Baseball, the league lists USA Baseball marking and a maximum 2⅝-inch barrel; USSSA and BBCOR bats are not permitted. Solid one-piece wood bats have a separate exception. Tournament requirements can differ, so confirm both schedules before buying.
Read the official league rulesUse the listed length to narrow a comparison, then check the glove on your player. Can they close it comfortably and keep it secure on their hand? A bigger glove is not automatically an upgrade. Verify the throwing-hand option: right-hand throw means the glove is worn on the left hand.
Compare the minimum height as carefully as the maximum. The Franklin models above start at 22, 25, and 27 inches. Measure your intended contact point first. If it is below the minimum, that tee cannot reach it.
Start with the approved stamp, the right length, and a weight your player can control. If a current bat still fits and is allowed, consider whether you need a replacement at all. Compare the exact model and size, shipping cost, return policy, and warranty before checkout.
